AUDIO TEXT

The fifth course in this series explained how to set multiple conditions and use logical operators in queries. This course explains how to use wildcard characters in your queries.

Have you ever tried to find data, only to be stymied because you don't know the complete value you're searching for? For example, you're trying to find a part number, but you can't because you need to know the whole thing. What can you do?

You can use wildcards in your queries. With wildcards, you can match patterns, find specific letters or numbers, or match ranges of characters such as A through H or 25 through 70.

Wildcards can add a lot of power to your queries, and help you get answers faster.
