Learn how to use cascading style sheets (CSS) using Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003 to manage the location and appearance of elements on a Web page.

  • Understand what cascading style sheets are and how they can help you.
  • Become familiar with CSS syntax.
  • Learn about the placement of CSS in your Web site.
  • Understand the differences between inline, embedded, and linked style sheets.
  • Create three simple style sheets — one inline, one embedded, and one linked — using FrontPage 2003.

COURSE TEXT

Cascading style sheets (CSS) are a powerful tool for managing the look and feel of your Web site.

This course will introduce the concept of cascading style sheets and discuss the types and placement of cascading style sheets in your document. At the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to create your own cascading style sheet using FrontPage 2003.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

To complete this course, you must have a basic ability of reading and writing HTML code. In other words, you must know how to type opening and closing tags, and be able to type tags and attributes in the proper syntax.
