Use Excel to create scientific charts  

Learn how to use the chart features in Excel to accomplish scientific tasks such as adding a trendline to data or using error bars.

GOALS

After completing this course you will be able to:

  • Add a trendline to a set of data.
  • Add error bars to data points.
  • Plot a polynomial curve.
  • Add Greek letters, symbols, superscript, and subscript to chart labels.
  • Use logarithmic scales.

COURSE TEXT

Charts in Excel can show more than columns of sales numbers. Charts can plot and communicate scientific data.

Finding trendlines, showing error bars, and plotting complex curves, charts can be helpful to any college science student. They have value too for any business that wants to be precise about meeting its numbers.
