COURSE TEXT

You've created a flowchart, organization chart, network diagram, or building space plan with Visio. Now you want to add the drawing to a presentation, document, or publication that you intend to share with colleagues or customers.

So what do you do? Most likely, because it's a method you're familiar with, you copy the drawing in Visio and paste it into the destination file.

Copy and paste will work, but it may not always get you exactly the results you want. In this course, you'll learn three different methods for adding drawings to destination files, and the pros and cons of each.

Read on for more information, and then click Next to start the first lesson.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Before you begin    You don't necessarily have to complete all five lessons. The first two introduce the three methods for adding drawings and describe how to use them, so you'll want to go through both of those. Lessons 3, 4, and 5 each focus on a different program (PowerPoint, Word, and Publisher), so you might want to choose the lesson for the type of file you most frequently add drawings to.

Note    You must have Visio installed to complete the practice sessions for the course.
