You should already be familiar with how to use the new list feature in Excel 2003, or you should complete the course Lists I: How to use lists in Excel 2003.
To do the practice sessions in this course, you must have access to a Web site based on Microsoft Windows® SharePoint® Services (a SharePoint site), and you must have permissions to create a list on the server. If you're not sure about whether you have these things, ask your systems administrator.
If you don't have a server running Windows SharePoint Services but if you do have Internet access, you can sign up for the Windows SharePoint Services Trial which will allow you do the practices. The trial will allow you to try out SharePoint for a month without having to set up your own Windows Server environment.
