The beauty of multiple masters

Multiple design templates, each with set of masters

When you have more than one design template applied to your slides, you also have more than one set of masters.

Callout 1 Part 1 of the slide show has one design template applied, and its own set of masters. Changes to these masters apply only to the slides that use this design template.
Callout 2 Part 2 has a different design template applied, with its own masters. Changes to these masters apply only to the slides that use this design template.

With PowerPoint, you can add variety to your presentation design by using more than one design template in a show.

You might want to break up your show into parts, with each part designed differently from the others. Or, several groups of people might contribute slides to one show, with each group using its own design.

With multiple design templates come — you guessed it — multiple masters. There is a pair of masters for every design template used.

See how you can use multiple masters to make changes to specific sets of slides, and to do so efficiently. For the full picture, click Next and keep reading.
