COURSE TEXT

You'll find the Word Count command on the Tools menu. It opens a dialog box where you can choose what you want to count: pages, words, characters (with or without spaces), paragraphs, and lines.

If you want to include footnotes and endnotes in your count, then select the Include footnotes and endnotes check box.

Note   If your document has revisions in it, the count will keep track of all the revisions and include them in the totals.
