Overview
Set of masters connected by bracket

If you've wondered how to make a design change in Microsoft Office PowerPoint that would apply to several slides at once, this course is for you. See how the slide master helps you efficiently alter such elements as the font, text position, and layout. Also, work with several masters in a show that has more than one design template.

  • Length: 40–50 minutes

GOALS

After completing this course you will be able to:

  • Make changes on the slide master that include repositioning text, changing the font styles, changing the layout, and adding a piece of art.
  • See how the title master works with the slide master and gives you more design options.
  • Work with different sets of masters to change specific groups of slides in a show that uses several design templates.

ABOUT THIS COURSE

This course includes:

  • Two self-paced lessons and two practice sessions for hands-on experience.
  • A short test at the end of each lesson; tests are not scored.
  • A Quick Reference Card you can take away from the course.
COURSE TEXT

When you find yourself making the same design change to slide after slide, think of the slide master. You could make that same change just one time on the master and save yourself some work. And in the process, you'd keep your presentation file size smaller.

Also, in a show that has more than one design template applied, learn to work with different sets of masters to target only certain groups of slides for design changes.
