Language and search queries in the Microsoft Office system in mixed language scenarios

Enter your query in the language of the Help system. A general rule for determining what language to use for your search query is to look at the Search box. This box always shows a few words in the language of the Help system.

If you are making a query within your installed Microsoft Office program, use the language of the Office program.

When you visit the Microsoft Office Online Web site, your Internet browser or Office Worldwide page language settings may be different from the language of your installed program. In this case, use the language of the Office Online Web site to ask your search question.

If the Office Online Web site shows a mixed language display because of different language settings between your installed program and your Office Online Web site, use the language of the Office Online Web site to ask your question.
