  1. Point to the right edge of the Document Map (Document Map: A vertical pane along the left edge of the document window that displays an outline of the document's headings. You can use the Document Map to quickly move through a document and to keep track of your location in it.) pane.
  2. When the pointer changes to a resize pointer Resize pointer, drag the resize bar to the left or right.

Note  If your headings are too long to fit in the Document Map, it's not necessary to resize the pane; just rest the pointer on a heading to view the entire heading.
