You must select the ink (ink: The writing or drawing strokes made with a tablet pen or mouse.) when you want to move, copy, or format it. Sizing handles and an outline of the ink shapes indicate that the ink has been selected.

Do one of the following:
Select ink on a desktop or laptop computer
Select ink on a Tablet PC
- On the Ink Drawing and Writing or Ink Annotations
toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, click Customize on the Tools menu, and then click the Toolbars tab.), tap Select Objects.
- Tap the ink.

- To cancel the selection of ink, click or tap away from the selected ink.
- You cannot select ink in comment balloons in Microsoft Word.
