Delete ink
 
  1. To select ink (ink: The writing or drawing strokes made with a tablet pen or mouse.), do one of the following:

    ShowSelect ink on a desktop or laptop computer

    • Click the ink.

    ShowSelect ink on a Tablet PC

    1. On the Ink Drawing and Writing or Ink Annotations toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, click Customize on the Tools menu, and then click the Toolbars tab.), tap Select Objects.
    2. Tap the ink.

      Sizing handles and an outline of the ink shapes indicate that the ink is selected.

  2. Tap or press DELETE.

ShowTip

On a Tablet PC (Tablet PC: A computer that runs Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. With a Tablet PC, you can write directly on the screen by using a tablet pen and use the pen to perform mouse functions. Also known as a tablet computer.), you can erase ink while you are writing.
  1. If the Ink Drawing and Writing or Ink Annotations toolbar isn't showing, tap the ink to display the toolbar.
  2. On the Ink Drawing and Writing, Ink Annotations, or Ink Comment toolbar, tap Eraser Button image.
  3. Drag the eraser across the ink you want to delete.
  4. When you are finished, click Stop Erasing on the Ink Drawing and Writing or Ink Annotations toolbar.

    Note  This step is not necessary for ink comments.
