Now practice making your own menu and toolbar. As you already know, the customize functions work in the same way across all the Office programs. This time you will use Outlook to practice. As in previous practices, we will give you instructions on how to return to the initial settings.

About the practice session

When you click Practice in Outlook, Outlook will open and a separate window with practice instructions will appear alongside (see picture).

Note     You need to have Outlook 2003 installed on your computer.

Tips

  • If the practice instructions aren't visible, or disappear when you click in Outlook, click the Outlook Help taskbar button and then click the Auto Tile button on the upper-left corner of the instructions.
  • If the practice instructions cover up Outlook, click the Auto Tile button on the upper-left corner of the instructions.

Before you begin

Make sure to close Outlook if it is already running.

Start the practice

Click the Practice in Outlook button now.
