When you point to a style in the Style task pane, a ScreenTip lists all the details of the style. As you can see in the picture above, all the formatting included in the Normal style is spelled out, so you can see all of its attributes.
About the Normal style: When you create a new document in Word, Normal is the default paragraph style in the document. It's the style for the document's body text, but it's also the basis for many other styles.
Knowing the style details will help you particularly when you want to modify a style, which is covered in the next lesson.
