Add or delete arrowheads

Which program are you using?


Excel

  1. Draw a line if you haven't already done so by clicking the Insert tab, clicking Shapes, and then selecting an option in the Lines section. For more information, see Draw or delete a line, connector, or freeform shape.
  2. Select the line that you want to add arrowheads to.

If you want to add arrowheads to multiple lines, select the first line, and then press and hold CTRL while you select the other lines.

  1. Under Drawing Tools, on the Format tab, in the Shape Styles group, click the arrow next to Shape Outline.

If you can’t see the Drawing Tools or Format tabs, make sure that you have selected a line.

  1. Point to Arrows, and then click the arrow style that you want.

To create a custom arrow style, click More Arrows, and then choose the options that you want. To delete all arrowheads, click Arrow Style 1 (no arrowheads).

Outlook

  2. Select the line that you want to add arrowheads to.

  1. On the Formatting toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, press ALT and then SHIFT+F10.), click Arrow Style Button image, and then click the style that you want.
