Format your document with styles

Using Style Pane Options dialog box to change how styles are displayed

Apply a Heading 1 style

We showed you how you can open the expanded Styles gallery to see additional styles. But to delve even deeper into styles, this is what you do:

Callout 1 Open the Styles task pane, shown above in the picture, by clicking the Styles Dialog Box Launcher (the small arrow at the bottom of the Styles group on the Home tab of the Ribbon).
Callout 2 In this task pane, you can choose additional styles for the document, learn more about their attributes, and change styles. (We'll cover this later.) To change how these styles are displayed, in the bottom right corner of the Styles task pane select Options.
Callout 3 You can opt to show only the styles that are used in the current document or view all styles.
