About zooming in and out of drawings

You can view drawings at various levels of magnification to make it easier to see details or to get a broader view of the drawing's contents. You can use the Zoom toolbar box Button image, the Zoom menu command, or the Zoom dialog box to set the level of magnification. Whichever method you use, you can select percentage options to display a page in proportion to its actual size (which corresponds to the 100 percent option) or type a percentage to specify the view.

Zoom (zoom: To increase or decrease the display size of a drawing in the drawing window. A display size of 100% (or Actual Size) displays the drawing at the same size it will be when it is printed, unless you change the printed output in Page Setup.) to the size that best suits your work; for example, viewing a very small drawing probably requires magnification.

When you hold down both the CTRL and SHIFT keys, the pointer turns into a magnifying glass, and clicking the left mouse button enlarges the view; clicking the right mouse button reduces the view. Whether you enlarge or reduce, the new view is centered wherever you click.

When you hold down CTRL and SHIFT and drag, the resulting magnification depends on the size of the box you drag―the smaller the box, the greater the magnification.
