You must have administrator privileges on your computer to enable Indexing Service.

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. On the Shape Search tab, under Search locations, click Visio Local Shapes to give it focus.
3. Click Properties, select Yes, enable Indexing Service, and then click OK.

It may take a few minutes while the stencils on your hard drive are indexed.

Note  To include shapes you've created in the index, you need to add keywords to the shape on the custom stencil. See Add search keywords to a custom master shape.
