Set snap and glue options for shapes on a layer
 
  1. On the View menu, click Layer Properties.
  2. To allow other shapes to snap to shapes on a layer, select the Snap check box.
  3. To allow other shapes to glue to shapes on a layer, select the Glue check box.

Note  A shape on a layer that has Snap and Glue settings turned off can still be snapped and glued to shapes on layers that have Snap and Glue settings turned on.
