1. On the Tools menu, click Reports.
2. Select the report definition for the report you want to update, and then click Run.

Tip

Clear the Show only drawing-specific reports check box to see all the report definitions in the Microsoft Office Visio installation folder (installation folder: The location where Visio is installed; the default folder location is Program Files\Microsoft Office\Visio11.) and your drawing folder (Drawing path: The default location, which is the My Documents folder, where Visio drawings you create are stored.).
3. In the Run Report dialog box, select the output format for the report.
4. Click Browse and locate the file that contains the report you want to update.
5. Click OK.

• Right-click the shape, and then click Run Report.

Note  To modify the report definition before you update the report, right-click the shape, and then click Update Report. Select the report definition, and then click Modify to open the Report Definition wizard where you can make changes. When the wizard closes, click Run.

3. Do one of the following:
• To update the report using the new report definition, click Run.
• To save the association between the shape and the new report definition without updating the report, click Close.
