Save as Web Page browser and output format compatibility

The following table shows the compatibility of different browser versions and Web page output formats with various features in Microsoft Office Visio Web pages.

Notes

VML and SVG output formats require Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later.
GIF and JPG output formats require Internet Explorer 3.0 or later, or Netspace Navigator 3.0 or later, or any HTML 2.0 compliant browser that supports frames.
PNG output format requires Internet Explorer 4.0 or later, or Netspace Navigator 6.0 or later. PNG output is not supported by all browsers. See the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web site for more information on the PNG output format.
The Host in Web page option for Visio Web pages works only with browsers that support the <IFRAME> tag (such as Internet Explorer 3.0 or later).

VML output only	Left frame: Go to Page, Pan and Zoom, Details, Search Pages. Drawing displayed in VML.	No support.
SVG output with alternate browser support*	Left frame: Go to Page, Search Pages. Drawing displayed in SVG if supported by browser or plug-ins. Drawing displayed in GIF, JPG, or PNG if SVG is not supported by browser or plug-ins. Note Display of SVG output requires an SVG viewer or plug-in.	Left frame: Pages displayed as links. Drawing displayed in SVG if supported by browser or plug-ins.

*"Alternate browser support" in this table means that the Provide alternate format for older browsers option is selected on the Advanced tab in the Save as Web Page dialog box.
