Review digital certificates for a file

When you look at the details of a digital certificate (digital certificate: Attachment for a file, macro project, or e-mail message that vouches for authenticity, provides secure encryption, or supplies a verifiable signature. To digitally sign macro projects, you must install a digital certification.), look at the Issued to and Issued by fields to determine whether you trust its source. Look at the Valid from field to determine if the certificate is current.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2. Click Macro Security and then click the Trusted Publishers tab.
  3. To view details about a particular certificate, select the name of the publisher, and then click View.
