- On the View menu, click Size & Position Window.
- To change the location of the shape's pin (pin: The point around which a shape or text block rotates, marked by a circle with a plus sign inside it.) (center of rotation), click Pin Pos (pin position) in the window, and then from the list, click a location.
- Enter values for the location of the shape:
Tips
- To move a 1-D shape without resizing or rotating it, change the values for Begin X and End X or Begin Y and End Y by the same amount. For example, to move a shape down 1 inch, decrease the values of Begin Y and End Y by 1 inch each.
- You can use arithmetic operators in the Size & Position window. For example, to move a shape vertically 1 centimeter, click after the value in the Y box, and type +1 cm. Valid operators are * (multiplication), / (division), + (addition), and – (subtraction).
- If you don't type a unit, numbers are interpreted in the current measurement unit. To specify a different measurement unit, type it into the Size & Position window. For example, if the default measurement unit is inches but you want to type a value in centimeters, type cm after the number.
