Select the shape, and then type the text. When you finish typing, press ESC or click outside the text block (text block: The text area associated with a shape that appears when you click the shape with the text tool or select it with the pointer tool.).
Note To stop Microsoft Office Visio from zooming into the text when you type, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the General tab. Then, under Drawing window options, in the Automatically zoom under points when editing box, enter 0 (zero) for the point size.
