How to link a row to a shape.
And now the third step: dragging rows. This is the moment of truth. To actually link a row of data to a shape, you drag the row from the External Data window onto the shape.
Note If you have many rows to link, this might take a while. There's another alternative, called automatic linking, which we'll cover in the course "Link data to diagrams IV."
