Lock or unlock a layer

1. On the View menu, click Layer Properties.
2. Do one of the following:
• To lock a layer, select the check box in the Lock column in the row for the layer that you want to lock.
• To unlock a layer, clear the check box in the Lock column by clicking the cell in the row for the layer that you want to unlock.

 Note   Shapes on a locked layer cannot be selected, moved, or edited. Also, shapes cannot be added to a locked layer. You can change the color of shapes on a locked layer by setting the color in the Color column of the Layer Properties dialog box.
