- Select the picture.
- Click the Crop tool . (If the Picture toolbar is not visible, on the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Picture.)
- To crop the object, drag a selection handle .
- To see a different portion of the picture, place your pointer over the picture until it becomes a hand symbol, and then drag until you see the part of the object you want.
- When you're finished, click any other tool, such as the Pointer tool .
Note When you change the size of a picture's border using the Crop tool, the picture itself is not resized, but the amount of the picture that is visible is reduced or enlarged. You can delete the cropped areas of a picture to reduce the image size. On the Format menu, click Picture, click the Compression tab, select Delete cropped areas of pictures, and then click OK.
