About transparency

In Microsoft Office Visio, you can make shapes, text, lines, fills, and shadows transparent so that you can see through them. You can vary the percentage of transparency of Visio objects from 0 (fully opaque, the default) to 100% (fully transparent).

You can do this most easily in the Transparency dialog box, which you open by clicking Transparency Button image on the Format Shape toolbar.

Note   By setting the transparency of all aspects of shapes (text, text block, lines, fills, and shadows) to 100%, you can make both open and closed shapes completely transparent.
