About dragging shapes onto a drawing page

The easiest way to create a drawing is to drag a master shape from a stencil in the Shapes window to the drawing page. When you drag a master shape onto a drawing page, you create a copy of the master. The master itself remains on the stencil so that you can use it repeatedly to create new copies of the master on drawing pages.

When you drag the master shape onto the drawing page, the shape is snapped to the nearest grid line or ruler subdivision so that you can position it precisely.
