Once you understand how effort-driven scheduling works, you can decide when to turn this setting on or off for tasks in your project.
Once you understand how it affects the Work piece of the scheduling formula, the effort-driven feature can make project scheduling easier. With effort-driven scheduling turned on, the amount of work for a task remains constant when you add and remove resources on the task.
Maybe it should have been named the "Keep Work Constant" scheduling feature instead, because that is what it does.
