If you use more than one e-mail account in Outlook, you can assign a different default signature to each account. This is because you might use a specific account for a specific role in your life. Take a look at the picture to see an example:

For her Microsoft Exchange Server account (her work e-mail at Contoso, Ltd.), Pia Lund uses the
My work signature.

Pia uses her
Basic with personal quote signature for a different account, which she uses primarily for her non-work e-mail.
However many signatures you have created, Outlook uses only the ones you assign. At any time, if you wanted to stop using a signature on an account, you would just set your signature options to (none).
