Keyboard shortcuts for switching between Normal view and Slide Show view.

With several slides in place, some text added, and a design template applied, you're ready to preview your slides in a show. This table lists quick ways to open the show and to switch back to Normal view.

If you want to switch back to Normal view and leave the Slide Show view open so you can return to it, use the keyboard shortcut ALT+TAB. You'll see how to do this in the practice session. ALT+TAB works the same way for all Windows-based programs.

When you switch to Normal view leaving the Slide Show view open, the Slide Show toolbar appears, with a Resume Slide Show button. You can either click that button to return to the show or use ALT+TAB.

Now you'll get a chance to try the shortcuts described in this lesson. For a fuller list of PowerPoint keyboard shortcuts, refer to the Quick Reference Card when you've completed the course.
