To zoom in on part of a drawing, on the View menu, click Pan & Zoom Window. In the Pan & Zoom Window, use the pointer to draw a red rectangle around the area you want to print.
Printing only part of a drawing involves three steps:
- Indicate the part of the drawing that you want to print by zooming in so only that part is displayed in the drawing window.
- Preview before you print. When you first open the print preview window, the preview reflects the entire drawing. To see a preview of the part you zoomed in on, on the print preview window toolbar, click the Current View button
.
- When you're satisfied with the current view preview, you can click Print on the print preview toolbar.
Tip As you'll discover in the practice session, in the Print dialog box, you must select Current View before you click OK or the entire drawing, rather than just the part you zoomed in on, will print.
