Get to Know Live Meeting 2007

Invite someone to a Live Meeting with an Outlook message

Invite people with Meet Now and Outlook.

To start a Live Meeting right away:

  1. Open Live Meeting 2007. If you see the User Accounts dialog box, sign in using the steps described in the previous lesson of this course.
  2. Click Meet Now. You will see a note that you are now connecting to the meeting that you have started.
  3. Click Meeting and then click Invite. You will see two choices for ways to invite people: by e-mail, or by telephone.

If you choose By E-mail, Outlook will create a meeting invitation, similar to the invitation described in the previous lesson of this course. If you choose Call Someone, your telephone conference service will start a call.

Note     Always invite yourself too, so that you have the e-mail message containing the Join the meeting link. (You'll see it in the practice session.) That link is the fastest way for you to rejoin or review the meeting later.
