If you have several sets of masters, and you make a change to one pair of them, how do you apply that change to a specific group of slides in the show?
In normal view, be sure the slides that you want the change to apply to are selected. Then, look in the Used in This Presentation section (Slide Design task pane) for the design template whose name matches the set of masters that you changed, and use its Apply to Selected Slides command to apply it.
In master view, select the set of masters that you changed, and press CTRL+C. Return to normal view, and select the slides you want the changes to apply to. Then press CTRL+V to paste the masters.
