Since PowerPoint 2002, you've been able to use more than one design template in a show. There are a couple of methods you can use for doing this:
- With one design template applied to all your slides, select only those slides you want to apply a different design template to. Then, from the Slide Design task pane, apply a second template to the selected slides.
- Copy slides from one presentation into a presentation that uses a different design template, and preserve the source design on the slides you paste in.
The picture depicts the first method.
When you use the second method, you need to use the Paste Options button to retain the original formatting on the pasted slides. You'll see this button in action in the practice session. Also, the Quick Reference Card at the end of the course contains the complete steps used in this process.
