This article steps you through signing in and submitting a template to Templates on Microsoft Office Online. All feedback, positive or negative, regarding your experience is encouraged.
Obtain a Windows Live ID
To sign in to the system, you are required to have a Windows Live ID.
- If you don't have a Windows Live ID, click Sign in on the Submit a template page, and follow the steps to obtain an ID and password.
After you have a Windows Live ID
Sign in
- Click Sign in to begin.
- Enter your Windows Live ID e-mail address and password.
- Under Your display name, enter the display name that you want to use.
- Click the Continue button.
Choose file
- Click the Browse button, and then select your Microsoft Office Access 2007, Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007, Publisher 2007, or Word 2007 template file.
- Add a descriptive title in the Review the Title section.
Note Your title does not have to match the template file name.
- Click the Next button.
- Select a category assignment for your template from one of the suggested categories, or click choose manually (advanced) to manually browse all categories on the Templates site.
Note The suggested categories are based on the title of your submitted template.
- Add a description of your template in the Description field.
Note This step is optional.
- Click the Continue button.
Submit
- Review your template submission:
- Check for spelling mistakes
- Make sure your title is descriptive
- Make sure you selected the correct category
- Make sure your template description is clear
- Read the terms and conditions.
- After you read the terms and conditions, click I accept.
- Click the Upload button.
- Confirmation of your submission will appear.
Note If an error occurs during upload, you will be notified.
Congratulations on submitting your template! It should be visible within 48 hours.
