Like posts in a newsfeed

Liking a post in a newsfeed promotes the post’s importance and informs the person who created the post that you find it interesting. Liking posts also lets you group important posts so you can find them quickly later. You can see posts you’ve Liked by viewing them in the Likes view of your newsfeed.

To Like a post in your newsfeed, click Like under the post. If you change your mind after Liking a post, you can Unlike it by clicking Unlike under the post. The post will be removed from your Likes view.

To see the posts that you’ve Liked:

  1. Go to your newsfeed.
  2. Click the ellipses (…), and then click Likes.

About Liking posts in a team site feed

You can Like posts in a team site newsfeed just as you would in the public newsfeed. However, note the following differences in results:

  • You must be following the team site in order for the post you Liked to appear in your Likes view in the public newsfeed.
  • Other team site members must be following the team site in order to receive an update in their newsfeeds informing them that you Liked the post.
  • Team sites do not provide newsfeed views, such as Likes, Mentions or Activities.
