Very nice mapping app

February 9, 2013 by Michael Pennington

It does what it says very quickly. While it would be nice to have more than two color palettes and grey scale, the app is free. It appears to require state initials and doesn't work with full state names, at least in my efforts. It also allows you to quickly create a nice little SVG file, so you can modify it with your favorite vector program for use in visualizations or other materials. Thanks for this nice little app!

Works Great! 4 stars!

November 28, 2012 by Tyler Durham

My original review (which for some reason I cannot change), was based on a glitch that caused it not to work. The app developer contacted me and worked to get it resolved - nice! This is a nice way to visualize geo data. Love to see more color options!

Like it. Would suggest the ability to format the float over numbers and also retain the state title with the number.
Also, any chance of the same for a GLOBAL map where it picks up on the 3 letter country code?

Easy to Use Heat Map for U.S. States

Keyur's app is easy to use. From a customer database, I produced a pivot table showing State and Count of Customers in the state. Within a minute, I had a cool visualization showing the leading states. The map even updates when the underlying data changes.
