Delete a document profile in the backward-compatible document library

You can delete a document profile by using the Delete command in the backward-compatible document library.

Important   Document profiles are common across the backward-compatible document library. Any changes you make affect the use of that profile across the whole document library. If you delete a document profile, you remove it entirely from the document library. You cannot restore deleted document profiles. Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 reclassifies documents that used the deleted profile with the default profile for the folder in which they are stored.

Delete a document profile

  1. From the network place for the backward-compatible document library, open the Management folder, and then open the Document Profiles folder.
  2. Right-click the document profile that you want to delete, and then click Delete.
  3. In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
