Create an area
- In the Actions list, click Create Subarea.
- In the Title and Description section, type a title and description for the area.
- In the Publishing Dates section, you can specify start and end dates to display this area by doing the following:
- To specify a start date, type the date you want this area to appear on the portal site in the Start date box. The default date is today's date.
- To specify an end date, type the date you no longer want this area to appear on the portal site in the Expiration date box. You can leave this blank to display the area indefinitely.
- In the Location section, click Change location to display the area in a different location.
You can see the default location of the area under Default location.
How?
- On the Change Location page, select a location in which to display this area.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
Note Any area added at the top level, under the Home area, will appear as a navigation link on the primary navigation bar.
Delete an area
- In the Actions list, click Manage Portal Site.
- On the Portal Site Map page, rest the pointer on the area you want to delete and click the arrow that appears.
- On the menu that appears, click Delete.
A confirmation window appears.
- Click OK.
To view your changes, click Return To Portal on the title bar of the page.
