Set the unit of measure
 
  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. In the Options dialog box, click the General tab.
  3. In the Measurement units box, select a unit of measurement.

 Note   Once you set a unit of measurement, you only need to type a number when you specify a measurement.
