In Publisher, you can create the electronic equivalent of a return address label.
After typing your name, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, Web site address, and tag line—just one time—you can automatically include your personal contact information
in every publication you create. You can even identify a logo
to add to certain publications, such as postcards or newsletters.

If you develop publications for different audiences, you can create a set
of personal contact information for each of them. For example, you can create one set for your business, another for an organization where you volunteer, and a third for communications with friends and family.
Personal information sets and information components
Each element in a personal information set has a corresponding personal information component.
For an information set element like your return address to appear on a postcard, for example, the return address component must be included in the postcard publication.
When you open a pre-designed postcard in Publisher, it already contains the following personal information components (shown in red on the following postcard):
- Organization Name
- Address
- Phone/Fax/E-mail
- Tag Line
- Logo

If you have created a Primary Business personal information set, when you open the postcard publication, the specific information from that set replaces the placeholder information in the components.
You can replace business contact information with home contact information simply by selecting the Home/Family personal information set.
If you open a blank publication (rather than a pre-designed publication), you must add personal information components to it before information from your personal information sets will appear.
Create a personal information set
You only have to type the specific names and numbers for each personal information set once, and then you can make them appear in as many different publications as you want.
To create a personal information set
- Start Publisher. Open the publication into which you want to insert a personal information set.
- On the Edit menu, click Personal Information. Under Select a personal information set, click the title that best matches the information set you want to create.
Note If you are using Publisher 2002, on the Edit menu, click Personal Information, and then click the title for the information set that you want under Select a personal information set to edit.
- Under Personal information for this set, type the appropriate information for name, address, etc.
Tip You can include your Web site address by typing it into the same box where you type your phone, fax, and e-mail information.
- If you want to specify a color scheme that will be applied to all publications associated with this personal information set, check Include color scheme in this set, and then select the color scheme you want to use.
- Click Update.
If the open publication contains personal information components, the information from your personal information set automatically replaces the placeholder text in the components.
Tip To change information in a personal information set, on the Edit menu, click Personal Information. Click the name of the personal information set you want to change, edit the information, and then click Update. For more details about adding, changing, or removing personal information, see Help in Publisher.
Add a logo to a personal information set
You can include a logo as part of a personal information set. When you insert the information from that set into a publication that contains a logo component, the logo automatically appears.
To add a logo to a personal information set
- Open the publication to which you want to add a logo.
- If the publication does not already contain a logo component, on the Insert menu, click Personal Information, and then click Logo. Move the component if you want.
- Click the logo component, and then click the wizard button that appears near the component.
- In the Logo Designs task pane on the left side of the window, click Logo Options, click Inserted Picture, and then click Choose Picture.
- In the Insert Picture dialog box, locate the logo you want to add, and then click Insert.
- Save the publication. When you are asked if you want to add the logo to the information set, click Yes.

.
