If your printer will use a 150 lpi line screen, what is the optimal resolution for your pictures?
150 dpi. The picture resolution should always equal the line screen frequency.
300 dpi. The picture resolution should be twice the line screen frequency.
600 dpi or higher. If the resolution is any lower, you risk getting jagged edges in your picture.
If a bitmap picture is embedded within an EPS graphics, the normal considerations for matching resolution to line screen frequency doesn't matter because EPS is a vector format and is resolution-independent.
