Standard Enterprise Calendar

After you install Project Server 2003, a single Enterprise Calendar is available for use. This is the Standard Enterprise Calendar. Characteristics of the Standard Enterprise Calendar include:

  • It cannot be deleted   All custom Enterprise Calendars are copies based on the Standard Enterprise Calendar.
  • It is locale-dependent   The Standard Enterprise Calendar in the United States is a 40-hour week calendar with Monday through Friday specified as working days, and 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. specified as the working times with an hour break.
  • It describes the basic working week   You can use Project Server 2003 immediately upon installation without the need to create custom Enterprise Calendars.
  • It can be edited   The Standard Enterprise Calendar can be edited either in the Enterprise Global Template, or within a local project (if local edits of Enterprise Calendars are allowed in your organization).
