Enforcing a Single Currency

The currency symbol is the only item in the Enterprise Global Template that you can maintain by using the Options dialog box in Project Professional. All other options or settings in the Options dialog box are user choices that are local to each project and are not enforced in projects that use the Enterprise Global Template. These settings are stored in the project that they are associated with and, in the case of defaults, are stored in the user's registry.

To enforce a single currency

  1. In Project Professional, with the Enterprise Global Template open, point to the Tools menu and select Options to open the Options dialog box.
  2. In the Options dialog box, select the View tab.

  3. Under Currency options, type the currency value that you want to enforce in the Symbol text box; for example, $.
  4. click OK.
  5. Save and close the Enterprise Global Template.

Updates to the Enterprise Global Template will not be available until the next time a project manager connects to the Project Server database and refreshes the locally cached Enterprise Global Template on their local computer.
