Use Project Web Access to view and work with project information
 

When you publish project information to Microsoft Office Project Server 2003, you can view and work with it in Microsoft Office Project Web Access 2003. Team members can view the information and update progress on thier assigned tasks.

  1. Start your browser (Web browser: A computer program that is capable of locating and displaying information on the World Wide Web.) and point it to the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) (URL: Uniform Resource Locator, which is a standard for naming and locating an object on the Internet, such as a file or newsgroup. URLs are used extensively on the World Wide Web. They are used in HTML documents to specify the target of a hyperlink.) for the Project Web Access 2003 Web site (Web site: A Web page or collection of pages on an intranet or the World Wide Web that is formatted in HTML and is accessible from a Web browser.).
  2. If you see a logon page, in the User Name box, type or select your name.
  3. In the Password box, type your password, and then click Enter.

    Note  Depending on the authentication (authentication: The process of identifying a specific user and confirming that the user has permission to access Project Server.) method used, you may or may not have to enter logon information, such as user identification and a password.

  4. If you want to make updates to task assignments, go to the Tasks page and click View my tasks.
