Microsoft Office Project 2007

To use Microsoft Office Project Standard 2007 or Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007, you will need:

Component Requirement
Computer and processor 700 megahertz (MHz) processor or higher
Memory 512 megabyte (MB) of RAM or higher
Hard disk 1.5 gigabyte (GB); a portion of this disk space will be freed after installation if the original download package is removed from the hard drive.
Drive CD-ROM or DVD drive
Display Minimum 800x600; 1024x768 or higher resolution monitor recommended
Operating system Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack (SP) 2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, or later operating system.1
Other Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP1 or later running Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services is required for certain advanced collaboration functionality. Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 SP2 or later required to use the Import Outlook Tasks feature. Visual Reports require Microsoft Office Excel 2003 SP2 or later and Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2007.

Project Professional and Project Server 2007 are required for enterprise project and resource management capabilities. Microsoft Office Project Web Access and Outlook 2003 SP2 or later required for importing tasks to the Outlook calendar or tasks list.

Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (installed as part of Microsoft Office Project Server 2007) is required for publishing projects, Windows Workflow Foundation, and Project Tasks List. Microsoft.Net Framework Version 2.0 is required for the Resource Substitution Wizard.

Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, 32-bit browser only. Internet functionality requires Internet access (fees may apply).
Additional Actual requirements and product functionality may vary based on your system configuration and operating system.

Microsoft Office Project Server 2007

To use Microsoft Office Project Server 2007, you will need:

Computer and processor Server with processor speed of 2.5 Gigahertz (GHz) processor or higher; dual processor, 3 GHz or higher recommended
Memory 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM; 2 GB recommended.1
Hard disk 3 GB of available hard disk
Drive CD-ROM or DVD drive2
Display 1024x768 or higher resolution monitor
Operating system Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition, Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition or Windows Server 2003 Web Edition later plus service packs. Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.
Other 100 Megabits per second (Mbps) connection speed required for farm deployment, 56 Kilobits per second (Kbps) required for standalone installation. Internet Simple Mail Transfer Protocol/Post Office Protocol 3 (SMTP/POP3), Internet Message Access Protocol 4 (IMAP4), or MAPI-compliant messaging software required for e-mail notifications.3
Browser For Windows SharePoint Services Box/Forms Administration the following are required: Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4 or later, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 or Windows Vista with Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, 32-bit browser only.

For Internet, Windows SharePoint Services Site Administration or Form Filing one of the following configurations are required: Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4 or later, Windows XP SP2 or later, or Windows Server 2003 SP1 or later.

Microsoft Office Project Portfolio Server 2007

To use Microsoft Office Project Portfolio Server 2007, you will need:

Component Requirement
Computer and processor Server with a processor speed of 2.5 Gigahertz (GHz) or higher
Memory 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM; 2 GB recommended
Hard disk 3 GB of available hard disk
Drive CD-ROM or DVD drive, local or network accessible
Display 1024x768 or higher resolution monitor
Operating system Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP1 or higher (32-bit)
Other 100 megabits per second (Mbps) connection speed is required to utilize Project Portfolio Server functionality. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0; IIS 6.0; ASP.NET 2.0. Project Portfolio Server 2007 processor, RAM, and hard-disk requirements are highly dependent on the number of services installed on the computer and the load on the server.

Microsoft SQL 2005 Reporting Services (included with Microsoft SQL Server) is required for Reporting. Microsoft Project Server 2007 is required to use the Project Server Gateway (the bi-directional link between Project Portfolio Server 2007 and Project Server 2007). Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 is required for Document Management.
Browser Internet Explorer 6.0 with service packs or higher, 32-bit browser version is supported.
