Component Object Model (COM) add-ins greatly extend an application by adding functionality that is not in the core product.

To get more out of Microsoft® Project 2002, you may want to download and install any or all of the following COM add-ins from Microsoft Office Online Downloads.

• XML Reporting Wizard   You can use the XML Reporting COM add-in to easily create customizable, Web-based reports from Microsoft Project 2002. For ease of use, this XML Reporting tool provides several example report formats. For more information, see Create customizable XML Reports in Microsoft Project 2002.
• Visio WBS Chart Wizard   If you have Microsoft Visio® 2000 or later installed, you can use the Visio WBS Chart COM add-in for Microsoft Project 2002 to create a work breakdown structure (WBS) chart in Microsoft Visio from Microsoft Project data. • Euro Currency Converter   You can use the Euro Currency Converter COM add-in for Microsoft Project 2002 to display costs in more than one currency at the same time. This is especially helpful if you need to report costs in your own currency, as well as in the euro (or other currency). • Database Upgrade Utility   If you saved projects to a database format in Microsoft Project 98 or Microsoft Project 2000, you can easily upgrade them to the Microsoft Project 2002 database format by using the Database Upgrade Utility. • Compare Project Versions   You can use the Compare Project Versions COM add-in for Microsoft Project 2002 to review differences between a current version and an earlier version of the same project in a detailed report.
