Customize grouping formats in Microsoft Project Web Access

Applies to
Microsoft Project 2002

In Microsoft Project Web Access, when you group information in any view, a default grouping format is used for each grouping level. The administrator, however, can change the default grouping format for the timesheet, as well as the default group style for views. In addition, you can customize nine other grouping formats and associate views with those grouping formats. The grouping formats for views apply to Project Center, Resource Center, Project view, and Assignment view.

To change the look of grouping formats

  1. In the top link bar, click Admin.
  2. In the side pane of the Administration overview page, click Customize Microsoft Project Web Access.
  3. Under Customization options, click Grouping formats.
  4. In the Grouping format list box, select the grouping style you want to customize.
  5. To rename a grouping format, click Rename, type a new name, and then click the green check mark.
  6. Customize the group format as desired by changing the color, pattern, or font for a grouping level.
  7. Click Save Changes.
